New Stretch Goal of $15,000!

Thanks to generous supporters, we reached our initial goal of $10,000 a few days ago, but we are not done yet! We are so grateful, but we also know that we can do so much more for our undocumented students! We are excited to announce a new stretch goal of $15,000! These extra funds will allow us to support more of our undocumented students with internships and professional development opportunities. Support our undocumented students by making your gift and sharing on your social media platforms today!

Who We Are

Student-run program BoundlessLMU provides paid fellowships, leadership guidance, and career development services to undocumented students.

There are various boundaries that undocumented students encounter throughout their time in college, especially as it pertains to career development because many cannot apply to unpaid or underpaid jobs and internships. A lack of work authorization documents or financial hardship make these options impossible for our undocumented students, setting them behind when it comes to work experience and networking. BoundlessLMU intends to rectify this unequal distribution of cultural capital by providing students with the opportunity to intern with community organizations, law firms, and faculty members, just to name a few. With the help of the Strauss Foundation and the Associated Students of Loyola Marymount University (ASLMU), we began our program in 2020 and welcomed our first cohort during the fall of 2021.

We are committed to providing Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students with internships, BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The number of students we assist varies greatly and depends on the money we can raise for this cause. We hope to assist five students during spring 2022 and five students during summer 2022, but we know there are many more students in need of support — and we want to serve them all. Please join us in this effort. Any amount helps!

What Your Gift Can Do

Five students this spring, a small percentage of the undocumented community at LMU, will be receiving $2,500 in funding. Our goal is to support as many applicants as possible and offer them an increased stipend. Your gift today can provide students with fellowships, needed experience for their careers, and specialized resources that meet their needs.

Thank You!

We are overjoyed to be able to receive the support of the LMU community. Thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of our DACA Lions. Please continue to share the project on your social media networks! Go Lions!
